Although medication can be an essential part of treatment for both mental and physical disorders, it's not always possible for patients to be medication compliant and the reason is, in too many instances, a lack of insurance to cover the cost or an inability to pay for the medications they need. Physicians may often dispense sample packets of medications but this is a short-term solution for an on-going problem. A number of programs have been instituted to help patients in need of medication and we've provided several of them here.
