Blondie didn't just perform tonight at a concert, she blew the roof
off with a non-stop 1-1/2 hr. performance that was spectacular. Did all her well-known tunes backed up by a super rock band that keep the audience on its feet, shouting, clapping and singing along. Finished with Heart of Glass.
She is the original rapper (check that out) and despite the fact that she's no longer a youngster, she didn't stop for anything. A few sips of water, a wipe with a towel and she keep the energy high and the rock rolling. What a difference between tonight's performance and the one I saw yesterday with Judy Collins and Stephen Stills. At 72, Blondie puts the other duo to shame.
If you get a chance to see her on tour, don't miss her because you will regret it. The woman is a rocker and she gives her heart to her audience and they return the love.
The place was packed. Audience members raised fists for freedom when she sang a song with that element in it. No intermission. They didn't want to let her go. I haven't been to a concert this energized since I saw the Eurythmics years ago.
